Poetry from Thomas Moore

A Life In A Time Gone By

Spiritual Poems

I would like to present my spiritual poems. They have been sent to me by a 19th century poet who made himself known to me through sitting in a circle with friends for the purpose of meditation in July 2006.

His connection became stronger and over time he has given me the most amazing evidence of his person when on the earth and who I was in that time with him.

Trish Tidy also took me through a wonderful regression to this former past life where I found my life was shared with him, which in turn gave so many answers and again more evidence to follow.

Thomas, who I now know guides me through this life, has sent me so many beautiful poems which I feel will inspire people and bring comfort to the bereaved. I would like to share these spiritual poems with you and hope you may take something of them onward in your journey through life.

This life can sometimes be hard to travel but I hope the words can make that journey a little lighter on the foot as you strive onward and forward.

The Starlit Sky

Pull back that curtain
And pass through time
And look unto that starlit sky!
That starlit sky that shines so bright
That brings its sparkle
Unto the night

Come take my hand
Pass through the vale
And look to where the moon doth sail
Do not be afraid
To look to the past
Just step aside
The shadows cast

And bridge that gap
Of times gone by
When thee cast thy eyes
To that starlit sky!

Please dance with me
Along the way
Remember times
Of yesterday
For nought is lost
But dreams to cherish
For this love of ours
It could not perish!

Two Worlds To Meet

A rainbow of hue
Such a wonderful sight
To cross that bridge
would be my plight

It shimmers and shines
To beckon across
All the bright souls
Who suffered with loss

Meet on this bridge
I so lightly tread
And follow on the voice
Ye hear in thy head

For here our two worlds
Are no longer apart
But joyously unite
To give of the heart

Not long must we stay
On this union bridge
So embrace all that’s true
As we hold its gilt ridge

Alas we must part
For our time is well spent
Give thanks for the rainbow
The heavens have lent!

Send Forth A Prayer

The pains ye give are the pains ye gain
So this in life ye must refrain
Of thoughts and doings only for self
For this shall impede your spiritual health!

Look not upon your material home
With thoughts of wealth and how it to be grown
Tis’ thoughts of wealth ye may embellish
Alas tis’ food that the soul cannot relish!

So open thy eyes and prey look around
A frown to a smile where laughter can be found
For it is these simple things in life
Which can keep thy thoughts and heart from strife

Have a care do, for the old , infirm
For children whose tears for a love they yearn
Look upon face where darkness reigns
Send forth a prayer
To take away their pain

For life can be an upward climb
Struggles anew
a weariness of work do tire
But look towards love to pull ye through
For life is just a fleeting glance
Served forthwith for every chance

To take and hold and nourish it still
With simple joy and there until
We cross the plains and those we see
Have come to meet for eternity

 Death Is No Longer Mine

Death Is no longer mine my friend!
Death is no longer mine!
Tis’ a mere gateway
To step unto a time
Of floating air and faces greet
Of where so long ago we meet
A stepping stone where love do grow
Step forward for to see it glow

Death is no longer mine my friend!
But I see thy tears thee weep
Cast back that darkness
That surrounds thee
And let our souls doth meet
For want and worry
Are no more
And pains ne’er to be found
Peace is what endears me now
And light the spirit surround

So shed no tear before me
Smile, then call my name
And as I stand before ye
Feel my love to gain
For death is no longer mine
Just freedom from within
Let go this cumbersome body
And leave this earth of sin

Just smile for my contentment
And know that love holds no bounds
And when one day our souls shall meet
Then they shall sing aloud!
